Where is Next Generation Athletics located?

Next Generation Athletics is located at 17665 66A Ave Unit 101, Surrey, BC V3S 7X1, in the Cloverdale neighbourhood of Surrey, British Columbia. We serve athletes from across Metro Vancouver including Vancouver, Burnaby, Langley, Richmond, Delta, Coquitlam, and White Rock. Our facility is easily accessible from Highway 10 and is approximately 10 minutes from Langley.

How much does basketball training at NGA cost?

NGA's monthly training memberships start at $79 per month. Rising Stars (ages 6–9) is $79/month for 2 days a week or $119/month for 3 days. Youth Elite (grades 4–5) is $79, $119, or $149/month for 1, 2, or 3 days a week. Elementary (grades 6–7), our most popular program, is $119.99, $189.99, or $239.99/month for 1, 3, or 5 days. High School Boys and High School Girls (grades 8–11) are $99, $175, or $225/month for 1, 2, or 3 days, and the before-school Breakfast Club is $200/month. Additional programs (Performance Training, 1-on-1 Elite, GEN94 Club, ARISE Leadership) are priced separately based on intensity and format.

What ages does NGA train?

NGA trains basketball athletes ages 6 to 17 across ten programs. Rising Stars is designed for beginners ages 6–9, Youth Elite serves grades 4–5, Elementary serves grades 6–7, and the High School Boys and High School Girls programs serve grades 8–11. The Breakfast Club is a before-school training option, Performance Training and the GEN94 Club Team serve athletes ages 10–17, and the ARISE Leadership program is for ages 12–17. 1-on-1 Elite Skill Development is available for advanced athletes age 10 and up.

Who is Coach JT?

Coach JT (Jonathan Thompson) is the founder and Head Coach of Next Generation Athletics. He is a former professional basketball player with international playing experience. Based in the Vancouver area, Coach JT has nearly a decade of experience developing athletes from high school to the professional level. He has trained over 1,000 players across North America and internationally, including 10+ G-League players and 30+ NCAA athletes.

Does NGA offer girls basketball training?

Yes. NGA's High School Girls program is designed specifically for female athletes in grades 8–11, with plans at $99, $175, or $225 per month for 1, 2, or 3 days a week. The program focuses on skill development, game IQ, and confidence building in a supportive environment. Female athletes can also participate in any of our co-ed programs, including Rising Stars, Youth Elite, Elementary, and Performance Training.

What's the difference between Rising Stars and Performance Training programs?

Rising Stars is NGA's beginner basketball program for children ages 6–9, focused on fundamentals like footwork, base, and balance in a structured, age-appropriate environment. Performance Training is off-court strength and conditioning for athletes ages 10–17 — coach-led speed, power, and injury-prevention work programmed for basketball, led by Coach Nate. It pairs with any on-court program rather than replacing it.

How do I sign up for the basketball summer camp?

You can register for the 2026 NGA Summer Camp at nextgenerationathletics.ca/summercamp or by calling (604) 300-0669. The summer camp runs from late June through August and offers weekly sessions for different age groups and skill levels. Multi-week discounts (5–20% off) are available.

Does NGA help athletes get to NCAA?

Yes. NGA has developed 30+ NCAA athletes and 10+ professional players over our 15+ years of operation. Our 1-on-1 Elite Skill Development program and GEN94 Club Team are specifically designed for athletes pursuing college basketball opportunities. Coach JT and our staff provide guidance on the recruiting process, skill development for college-level play, and connections within the basketball community.

Is there a free trial or intro session?

What is the GEN94 Club Team?

GEN94 is NGA's intermediate club basketball team for athletes ages 10–17. The program focuses on competitive team play, game strategy, and player development in a team environment. GEN94 athletes compete in local and regional tournaments throughout the year.

Does NGA offer private one-on-one coaching?

Yes. The 1-on-1 Elite Skill Development program provides private basketball coaching for advanced athletes age 10 and up. Sessions are personalized to address specific skill gaps, prepare for tryouts, or accelerate development for athletes on the NCAA track.

What is the ARISE Leadership program?

ARISE Leadership is NGA's program for athletes ages 12–17 that develops leadership skills both on and off the court. The program combines basketball training with character development, communication skills, and mentorship opportunities. ARISE athletes learn to lead by example and contribute positively to their teams and communities.

Do you train athletes from Vancouver, Burnaby, or Langley?

Yes. NGA serves athletes from across Metro Vancouver including Surrey, Vancouver, Burnaby, Langley, Richmond, Delta, Coquitlam, White Rock, and the broader Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley regions. Our Cloverdale location is centrally located and accessible from throughout the region.
