Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

Next Generation Athletics is operated by Gen94 Basketball Society ("NGA," "we," "us," or "our"), based in Surrey, British Columbia. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and how you can ask us about it. We handle personal information in accordance with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

1. What we collect

We only collect information you give us directly, in three places:

  • Contact form (/contact): your first and last name, email address, the program you are asking about, and your message.
  • Summer camp registration (/summercamp): the athlete's name, date of birth, grade, and gender; the parent or guardian's name, email, phone number, and mailing address; an emergency contact name and phone number; any allergies, medical conditions, and current medications you choose to tell us about; your camp tier, weeks, and add-on selections; and your photo/video consent and waiver acceptance. Card details are entered on Stripe's hosted checkout page and never touch our servers.
  • Monthly membership checkout: subscribing to a monthly plan sends you to a Square-hosted checkout page. Square collects the player's full name, your contact details, and your payment card. We see the order and subscription details in our Square account; we do not see your full card number.

We do not run accounts or logins, and we do not buy or scrape information about you from other sources.

2. Why we collect it

  • To answer your enquiry and follow up about the program you asked about.
  • To register your athlete, place them in the right group, and run the program.
  • To keep athletes safe: emergency contact and medical information is used only by coaches and staff to respond to an injury, illness, or allergy on site.
  • To take payment, issue receipts, and handle refunds or disputes.
  • To send you information about the program you registered for (schedules, changes, cancellations).
  • To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising to third parties. If we ever want to use your information for a new purpose, we will ask first.

3. Who processes it for us

We rely on a small number of service providers to run the site and take payment. Each one receives only what it needs to do its job:

  • Stripe (camp payments): processes camp card payments and holds the registration details you enter alongside the payment record. Payments appear on your card statement under Gen94 Basketball Society.
  • Square (monthly memberships): processes subscription payments and stores the player name and your billing details.
  • Resend (email): delivers contact-form messages to our inbox.
  • Vercel (hosting): serves this website and keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability.
  • Google Analytics (if enabled): may collect anonymous usage statistics such as pages viewed and approximate region. It does not receive registration or medical information.

Some of these providers store data outside Canada (chiefly in the United States). We do not otherwise share personal information with third parties, except where the law requires it or to protect the safety of a participant.

4. How long we keep it

  • Contact-form messages: kept in our email inbox while your enquiry is open and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted.
  • Camp and membership registration details: kept for the season they were collected for and the following season, so returning athletes can re-register easily, then deleted or anonymised. You can ask us to delete medical, allergy, and emergency-contact details as soon as the program has finished.
  • Payment and receipt records: kept for as long as Canadian tax and accounting rules require (generally six years after the year of the transaction).

5. How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS. Payment card details are entered only on Stripe's or Square's hosted checkout pages and are never stored by us. Registration details are accessible only to NGA staff who need them, through password-protected accounts. No system is perfectly secure, so please contact us right away if you believe your information has been exposed.

6. Your rights: access, correction, deletion

You can ask us at any time to see the personal information we hold about you or your child, to correct it, or to delete it. We will respond within 30 days. Deleting registration details after a program has run may not be possible where we must keep payment records for tax purposes, and we will tell you if that is the case. You can also withdraw photo/video consent at any time by emailing us; we will stop using new images and remove existing ones from channels we control where practical.

7. Children

Our programs are for youth athletes, so most of the information we collect is about minors. We collect it only from a parent or legal guardian, and we use it only to run the program the child is registered for and to keep them safe while they are with us.

8. Cookies

The site itself does not set tracking cookies. Stripe and Square set cookies on their own checkout pages to prevent fraud, and Google Analytics, if it is enabled, sets standard analytics cookies. You can block cookies in your browser without affecting registration.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
